[MINE] was a pop-culture (Science, Movies, TV, Books, Music...) blog run set up by the company Myxer (who allow content creators make their own ringtones and great mobile phone content, for free) as an attempt to bring in an audience daily.
The project was spearheaded by New Media Guru JC Hutchins, author of the 7th Son podcast novels as well as the ARG (Alternate Reality Game) book Personal Effects: Dark Art.
The blog soon became filled with great content and became a hub for communication between Myxer users and the bloggers. Weekly columns had just started to really get rolling when some terrible news struck. Due to the floundering economy, Myxer, a startup, had to cut positions to ensure profitability and JC was let go.
MINE was put on Ice, and has never been resurrected, but all of the bloggers there remain convinced that it was a portal for quality news, information and just the occasional Earworm.
